Why We are Building the EI Lab: En Factor Updates!

My name is Zoe and I am Dr. White’s Graduate assistant at The University of Tampa. I have been working with Dr. White and the En Factor team for about six months and have loved every minute of it.

I have learned a lot about entrepreneurship while working for Dr. White! I find all her work fascinating, and one area that interests me the most is Entrepreneurial Intelligence (EI). This idea goes deeper than mindset as it is about building judgment through both your own experience and others’.

We have decided to put more focus into this concept this year, so I am happy to share updates with you all!

New Year, New Goals

In the first En Factor podcast episode of 2026, Dr. White discusses goals for the new year, which includes making this year a building year.

The episode was insightful by thinking about future goals in order to align 2026 to those. This led to a lot of conversations as a team on where to shift our focus and what kind of content to produce.

We have decided to change the En Factor Podcast production to one episode a month, rather than biweekly. This change will allow us to put more focus on the Entrepreneurial Intelligence (EI) Lab!

Every entrepreneur who’s navigated uncertainty, pivoted under pressure, or scaled through chaos has something to teach you, and the EI Lab is where that learning happens. It is an open space where research meets practice, where individual growth connects with shared experience.

Guest Catch Up: Following the Journey

We also just introduced a new category of articles: Guest Catch Ups! Dr. White will reconnect with past guests of the En Factor podcast to see what has progressed in their entrepreneurial journeys and how their thinking has changed.

Check out the first one with Benson Riseman here!

They dive into his three fundamental business truths and how those principles have evolved. He provides insight on intellectual honesty, resilience, and what kept his company Green Dot moving forward when funding seemed impossible.

How This Changes Things

The New Year’s En Factor episode features Isabella Grinter and Avin Samtini talking about their own goal setting. Read more in the article to get deeper insights from Dr. White!

Both understand something critical: uncertainty doesn’t stop entrepreneurship, it reveals it.

That’s what the EI Lab explores. How do you build capabilities that work across contexts? How do you develop judgment that serves you whether you’re in healthcare, corporate leadership, or launching your first venture?

In the most recent episode of the podcast, guest Emeric Ernoult, shares his story with Agorapulse! Make sure to check it out here, and read the article here to get further insights.

We’re excited to continue producing content that explores Entrepreneurial Intelligence and advances the work of the EI Lab!

The Work Ahead

Dr. White has always been interested in helping people with great ideas change the world in positive ways.

The EI Lab combines her research, her experience as an educator and board chair, and the insights from every entrepreneur she has interviewed. It’s accessible, affordable, and designed for people facing major transitions.

To learn this, you need intellectual humility, curiosity, and the willingness to learn from those who’ve walked the path before you.

That’s what entrepreneurial intelligence is about. That’s what we’re building together!

Thank you for all your support as we continue to build our community.
